Tenacious D FAQ

1. The "D" in Tenacious D stands for Tenacious Defense. As in "Scottie Pippen is playing some Tenacious Defense against Kobe"

2. Lee as you know him, is not really "Lee" he is an actor / friend of the D who takes part in some of their shows, and has made some guest appearances in videos, etc. (His real name is JR Reed)

3. In the Tribute video, YES it is David Grohl(Foo Fighters) as the shiny demon, Ben Stiller makes a quick cameo at the end, and Lee is the cop...

4. On the album, the backwards words you hear are "Donkey Crap"

5. As far as JB's love life is concerned...Yes he has been dating Laura Kightlinger, and at one time there was a rumor she was pregnant with baby JB, but that has never been confirmed.

6. Don't bother posting on the official forums at tenaciousd.com expecting KG, JB, or Lee to respond, they do not check the board....The board is there for pretty much the same reason as this site, to educate, and spread the word of the D.

7. Yes chicks dig guys that listen to Tenacious D way more than guys who do not.

8. If you have not seen a Tenacious D show live, you need to ask someone on one of the boards about obtaining a show. DO NOT go to EBAY and pay for something that more than one of us would gladly send you for the price of a blank and postage.

9. Q - How many Tenacious D HBO episodes are there?
     A - 3 episodes/ 6 shorts

10. Q - When will the D come to my town?
      A - Check the tour schedule at TenaciousD.com. If it's not on there, they're not scheduled to appear there at the moment. Nothing you post on a message board is going to change that; it's all arranged by the record label and the booking agents (Side note - this means they will probably not play your prom, wedding, birthday, or bachelor party, regardless of how cool you are, or how much Weed you can get them.)

11. Does the D really sing these songs?

12. Q - Does the D smoke weed?
      A - Duh! get the latest issue of High Times.

      A - Not! Joke?

       A - Yes.

15.  Q - Where can I download the D episodes etc?
       A - They are available online, but you really should go buy them...ON THE DVD you cheap bastard!.

16.  Q - If I get a B+P from someone can or should I sell copies of it on
            Ebay?
       A - NO!!!!  People (including myself) work hard to offer the D up for people to obtain, if ANYONE makes a profit off of the D without the D's permission, that is illegal, and WRONG! You will be immediately harassed by numerous people in the "D community" if you partake in these actions...Consider this a warning...
